Day Tour Of Guatape and El Peñol From Medellin

ITINERARY

Departure from Medellin: We will start our tour at the Poblado Metro Station at 6:50 am or at the Estadio Station at 7:50 am, by Van or bus, according to the number of passengers. We will take the north exit of the city of Medellin, heading to El Peñol.

Typical breakfast: On our way, we will stop at a typical restaurant of the region to have breakfast

Arrival to El Peñol and start of the tour by boat: Once in the municipality of El Peñol, we will get to the dock where we will have a tour by boat. This tour will last about 45 minutes and will take us to the old town.

Visit of some emblematic places of El Peñol: We will have the chance to see and visit some places such as Casa Museo, The cross there the old town church was located, the house of the soccer player James Rodriguez and the Marial Stone. We will get back to the dock to continue our journey to Guatape.

Ascend to the Peñol Stone (Optional with additional charges): We will visit the magnificent Peñol Stone; a giant 220 meter high stone that has become one of the major attractions of the region.

If you wish, you can get to the top of it and appreciate an incredible view. Its additional charge is $20.000 COP, which must be paid in the main entrance.

If you decide on ascending, we will be waiting for you to continue with our tour.

Lunch in Guatape: We will get to the municipality of Guatape, where we will have tike to enjoy a delicious lunch (Menu of the day)

Tour of Guatape: After lunch and a short break, we will walk around Guatape, which is well known for its colorful houses. We will get to the main park and walk next to the dam, to finally get to the dock again.

Come back to Medellin: We will finish our tour at 4:30 pm. In this moment, we will take to the transportation that will takes us back to Medellin.

• For kids from 4 to 8 years old, this tour includes the same as adults fare
